It was all about Me to You for Thinking of You Week 2015

07/10/15 Me to You, the iconic flagship brand from leading greetings and licensing company, Carte Blanche Greetings, celebrated the annual Thinking of You Week (21st to 27th September 2015*) with an interactive consumer-facing social media campaign supported by leading supermarket retailer ASDA.

The week-long campaign included a Facebook hosted competition and a themed Twitter Party, both of which achieved phenomenal consumer reach to thousands of Me to You fans. Utilising the hash-tag #TattyTeddyTrends across the week, Carte Blanche Greetings saw a strong increase of new likes on both its Facebook and Twitter pages. The overall reach of the campaign, across both social platforms, achieved an audience awareness of more 850,000 people.

In line with the company’s strong heritage at capitalising on key gifting opportunities for consumers, and to engage them before the build up to Christmas, a range of card designs was developed and sold through selected ASDA stores across the UK. The objective of the Thinking of You Week campaign was to drive sales in-store and ensure Me to You was front of mind with consumers across what is fast becoming a new gifting occasion in the ‘giving of cards’ calendar.

The Facebook competition campaign ran across the entire Thinking of You Week and was seen by just under 185,000 people and received more than 2,700 entries to win a selection of greetings cards and ASDA gift vouchers. In similar fashion, the hour-long #TattyTeddyTrends party hosted on 23rd September engaged with nearly 2,000 Me to You fans and was actively driven through posts from five hand-picked lifestyle and parenting bloggers.

Commenting on the week long campaign, Ruth Leonard, Marketing & Business Development Director at Carte Blanche Greetings said: “Our social media activations throughout 2015 have delivered consistent high rankings for our flagship brand Me to You; we are particularly delighted by the results and consumer enthusiasm for Thinking of You Week in partnership with one of our key retailers, ASDA.”

Emma Dean, from the team at ASDA added: “We are delighted to have worked alongside Carte Blanche on this impactful and engaging campaign which achieved a great level of awareness for Thinking of You Week. We hope the lucky winners enjoy sending out their card and spending their gift vouchers in store.”

*Thinking of You Week 2015 – is in its 2nd year. It is the GCA’s campaign to create a wave of love, caring and happiness through encouraging people across the UK to send a card a day during the week of September 21-27.
