New Partners for Carte Blanche Down Under

Following a complete strategic review of its operations both in the UK and Australia, The Carte Blanche Group, a leading independent greetings card publisher, licensor and creator of gifts and plush, has decided that a new approach to service the Australian market is needed.

Following a thorough search and review of options in the market, Carte Blanche have determined to work with two of Australia’s leading specialists in their field: John Simson for Greeting Cards and Packaging and Jasnor for Gifts and Plush Ranges.

Simson, founded in 1980, has established itself as the leading supplier to the direct toretail, non-discount distribution channel. Carte Blanche Group Commercial Director, Gerard O’Mahony, comments, “Simson’s energy for new and innovative product with that Australian ‘touch’ for colour and text appealed to us and we have great confidence they will help build business with our brands”.

Gerard continues, “Jasnor was founded in 1988 and is a highly respected member of our industry and one of Australasia's leading distributors of quality and innovative toys and gifts. They have a fantastic reputation for providing value for money combined with a high level of service, experience and expertise and we feel sure they will nurture and grow our brands”.

Carte Blanche Australia will cease selling and distributing on 31st December 2017 and both Simson & Jasnor will assume effective control of all Carte Blanche brands from 1st January 2018. The Carte Blanche Australia Office in Botany will be run by Carte Blanche Australia Chief Financial Officer, David Henderson, and remain open for a period after January 1st 2018 to complete the winding up of all commercial activities.
