Tatty Teddy celebrates friendship in new charity campaign

1/6/2013 Carte Blanche Group has announced an exciting new fundraising partnership with the children’s charity Jeans for Genes. This summer, Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends will launch a competition asking children to send in a video about their best friends. The videos will be judged by TV personality Katie Price, with the winner announced on September 20th 2013 to coincide with Jeans for Genes Day.

Katie Price, whose son Harvey has a genetic disorder, is a supporter of the Jeans for Genes campaign, a national appeal which raises millions of pounds to help children with genetic disorders.
During the campaign, a set of four collectable Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends keyrings will be available in store nationwide and online, with all profits going to Jeans for Genes. The keyrings feature Tatty Teddy, Paws the Persian Cat, Blossom the Rabbit and Tatty Puppy. Retailers wishing to get involved in the campaign by selling keyrings should contact Jeans for Genes to order stock.
The friendship competition launches on August 4th to coincide with National Friendship Day. To enter, children will be asked to make a short video explaining why their best friend is so special. Ten winners and their best friends (plus accompanying adult) will be invited to a private party at the world’s finest toy shop, Hamleys. The party will have a Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends theme, with plenty of treats and goodies for the lucky winners.
Ruth Leonard, Director of Marketing at Carte Blanche, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting this charity, which does such important work for children with genetic disorders. We hope that Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends fans will be inspired to enter the competition, and learn more about Jeans for Genes Day at the same time.”
Competition details will be available on the Jeans for Genes website, jeansforgenesday.org and tattyteddytoys.com. Fans will be encouraged to share their videos via all social media channels.
