Me to You nominated for Heritage Hall of Fame

Carte Blanche’s cute brand Me to You has been nominated for two top honours in the UK’s leading licensing industry awards.

The Licensing Awards are an endorsement of excellence judged by an extensive panel of experienced retailers and licensees.

Me to You is delighted to be shortlisted in the Classic Licensed Property category, going head-to-head with brands such as Batman, Barbie, The Simpsons and Paddington Bear. This category is for properties which are over ten years old, and the winner will join the Hall of Fame with previous winners Mickey Mouse and Star Wars.

Tatty Teddy is also hoping to triumph in the Best Children’s Licensed Apparel category, where Me to You is shortlisted for the BHS girls’ nightwear range, designed by Carte Blanche licensees Aykroyd & Sons. In this category, fellow finalists include Angry Birds, Hello Kitty and Moshi Monsters.

The winners will be announced at The Licensing Awards event on September 10th 2013 at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Samantha Kelly, Head of Licensing at CBG, said: “We’re thrilled to be nominated in these prestigious categories. It would be wonderful to come home with awards for the trophy cabinet, but simply to be nominated illustrates the status of Me to You as a truly iconic heritage brand.”

Roseanne Edwards. Senior Account Manager at Aykroyd & Sons, adds, "It's fantastic to be nominated for our Me to You girls' BHS range of sleepwear. Me to You is such a perfect fit for girls' apparel, and our nightwear ranges have proved phenomenally successful. We'll be keeping everything crossed on the awards night!"
