Autumn welcomes Blue Noses

28/10/13 Carte Blanche unveils major book deal with Autumn Group
Carte Blanche Group today announced a major new book publishing deal for its Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends brand.

Autumn Group, part of Bonnier Publishing Ltd, will publish in several formats including children’s storybooks, board books, Learn to Read books, wallcharts and book & gift sets under license from Autumn/ Winter 2014.

Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends is the combination of the much-loved Tatty Teddy character and the vibrant, cheeky personalities of My Blue Nose Friends. Launched in 2012, the brand was an instant success winning multiple awards. The unique multi-character concept launched initially within the categories of soft toy, collectable figurines and playsets, and quickly expanded into many complementary categories including puzzles & games, outdoor play and arts & crafts.
Sam Kelly, Head of Licensing at CBG, said: “This fantastic book publishing deal will allow us to bring the characters to life, giving an extra dimension which we’re certain children and parents will love. The brand has an endearing focus on friendship, sharing and fun and we look forward to seeing that translated into print. We’re thrilled at the way Autumn Group has embraced the brand, and look forward to a strong relationship for many years to come.”

Autumn Group MD, Perminder Mann says: “We are extremely excited about partnering with Carte Blanche at Autumn Group to create a new range of Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends books. It is a fantastic evergreen brand and we are embracing the opportunity to grow and develop it together to reach parents and children everywhere.”

The deal is the latest in a series of new licensing ventures to be unveiled by the Carte Blanche Group. New partnerships announced this month include an agreement between Mind Candy and The Carte Blanche Group that will see Carte Blanche creating a range of Moshi Monsters collectable, plush, gifting and soft toys from Spring 2014. Further announcements are expected over the coming few days.
