On 28th March 2009 Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends arrived at Hamleys toy store in London for a spectacular Blue Nose Fun Day!

The finest toy store in the world played host as Tatty Teddy and Head Artist, Steve Mort-Hill greeted an enormous crowd of delighted fans and customers.Tatty Teddy cut the ribbon, he met the first super-fan of the day, (12 year old Tiffany), who was able to claim the coveted No1 Limited Edition bear, everyone agreed she had earned it . . . as she’d been queuing up outside Hamleys since 6.50am that morning!

Here’s what Tiffany had to say about her day:
Hi I went to Hamleys yesterday and I got there at 6:50am and they came out and gave out free umbrellas (so I took one) and free blue noses and balloons. When the doors opened Tatty Teddy called me in and I got one of 500 Me to You Hamleys bears for free!!! and I had loads of photos with Tatty Teddy that Hamleys took while everyone was waiting outside - I was sooo lucky!! and I also got a special goody bag and Steve was really proud of me for getting the 1st bear and all the Hamleys’ staff were really nice to me and knew who I was!!

Throughout the day Steve Mort-Hill signed Limited Edition bears, as the wonderful Hamleys staff handed out balloons, blue noses, goody bags and Me to You umbrellas.

Everyone raved about the beautiful Hamleys window, which showed a scene from the My Blue Nose Friends story, complete with a huge soft moving Tatty Teddy to captivate passers-by.

Despite the unsettled weather and an unexpected demonstration in central London, the event proved to be an unforgettable experience for everyone who came.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make this Blue Nose Fun Day an enormous success!
