Sunshine and smiles: Picnic in the Park a spectacular success

Over 5,000 visitors flocked to Paultons Park in June to enjoy a picnic with Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends.

The weather couldn’t have been better for the two ‘Picnic in the Park’ days at the family theme park near Romsey in Hampshire.

Storytelling sessions and a My Blue Nose Friends treasure trail enchanted toddlers, with many jumping at the opportunity to have a picture taken with life-sized Tatty Teddy.

Visitors could also enjoy the many different rides and family attractions at the theme park, including The Digger Ride, The Flying Frog Mini-Coaster, the beautiful gardens and the penguin pool.

Julia Andrews, Carte Blanche Trade Marketer, said: ‘We knew these events would be popular, but we were amazed at the volume of visitors. On the second day, Paultons had to open 30 minutes early because cars were backed up onto the motorway trying to get into the park.

‘It was a fabulous venue and there was a wonderful atmosphere on both days. Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends definitely gained some new fans!’

Following the success of the two days, Paultons Park and Carte Blanche Greetings are looking at another event next year so keep your eyes peeled.
