Me to You and Build-A-Bear® to Launch Make-Your-Own Tatty Teddy

This Christmas season, Carte Blanche Greetings and Build-A-Bear Workshop® will unveil a new collaborative teddy bear, bringing the award-winning Me to You brand to Build-A-Bear Workshop stores across the U.K. in the form of a Make-Your-Own Tatty Teddy furry friend.

Beginning mid-November and for the first time in the U.K., Guests of Build-A-Bear Workshop can make their very own Tatty Teddy furry friend in stores across the country, adding their own personal touches to create a Me to You bear full of love, imagination and special memories. The bear will also be available online at buildabear.co.uk.

Additionally, Guests who visit select U.K. Build-A-Bear Workshop stores on weekends in November and December will be able to participate in in-store Tatty Teddy events, including Tatty Teddy costume character visits and activities. Fans will also have the opportunity to win Me to You and Build-A-Bear Workshop prizes; more information will be shared via Me to You social media channels in the coming weeks.

Carte Blanche re-launch Virtual Safari from Emotional Rescue

Carte Blanche Greetings are excited to be launching the new and improved range of Virtual Safari greetings cards from Emotional Rescue.

Since its launch in 1997 Virtual Safari has had huge success, selling over 8 million cards and publishing over 3500 designs. They were the first within the industry to use digitally enhanced imagery to bring animals to life in human and humorous situations and pride themselves on always creating commercially comical designs.

This exciting refresh is the first for the company in over 20 years and will bring a new lease of life to this much-loved brand. The instantly recognisable humorous captions will stay the same, paired with new enhanced imagery and fresh modern font styles. In addition to these updates Virtual Safari cards will now come in cello wrap, with a premium Kraft paper envelope and clear brand labelling to front each card.

To ensure commercial success all new designs have been tested pre-launch to ensure the highest rate of sale, alongside a new HI price code for enhanced pocket value. Introducing All Creatures: A Brand New Website for New Plush Launch

 

All Creatures is a new and exciting range from Carte Blanche and it now has its own website. This new plush concept features animal collections that combine super-soft materials and extra-huggable shapes to create beautiful designs that perfectly balance cuteness with real – life animal characteristics at an aspirational, yet affordable, price point.

Ready for these new products to hit the market for consumers in May, Carte Blanche has launched a new, consumer-facing website to showcase their products and introduce customers to the brand.

Browsing through beautiful lifestyle shots, visitors to the site will be able to view each animal within the three collections: Farm, Wildlife and Safari and use a ‘Store finder’ tool to find retailers that stock the brand near them.

The brand has already had fantastic reception with trade customers, featuring at Spring Fair, The Independent Toy & Gift Fair and Toymaster shows this year and will be present at Autumn Fair in September.

At the 1st anniversary of acquiring the Is It Art distribution business, Carte Blanche today announce that both Emotional Rescue and Blue Mountain Arts brands will be integrated into the Carte Blanche salesforce, who alongside the current Is It Art representatives will ensure that the highest level of service to customers is maintained going forward.

Carte Blanche are delighted to have secured new long-term agreements with Emotional Rescue and Blue Mountain Arts, which in addition to their existing portfolio of brands, including Me to You, Hotchpotch Publishing and Wishing Well Studios will provide a truly comprehensive offering to the independent market well into the future.

Additionally, and in consultation with licensed publishing partners, Carte Blanche also announce that they have reached an agreement whereby both Danilo and Gemma International will independently secure different routes to market than that provided by Is It Art, with the full support of CBG throughout the transition.

Carte Blanche will continue to carry Danilo and Gemma International ranges until the end of July. New Partners for Carte Blanche Down Under

Following a complete strategic review of its operations both in the UK and Australia, The Carte Blanche Group, a leading independent greetings card publisher, licensor and creator of gifts and plush, has decided that a new approach to service the Australian market is needed.

Following a thorough search and review of options in the market, Carte Blanche have determined to work with two of Australia’s leading specialists in their field: John Simson for Greeting Cards and Packaging and Jasnor for Gifts and Plush Ranges.

Simson, founded in 1980, has established itself as the leading supplier to the direct toretail, non-discount distribution channel. Carte Blanche Group Commercial Director, Gerard O’Mahony, comments, “Simson’s energy for new and innovative product with that Australian ‘touch’ for colour and text appealed to us and we have great confidence they will help build business with our brands”.

Gerard continues, “Jasnor was founded in 1988 and is a highly respected member of our industry and one of Australasia's leading distributors of quality and innovative toys and gifts. They have a fantastic reputation for providing value for money combined with a high level of service, experience and expertise and we feel sure they will nurture and grow our brands”.

Carte Blanche Australia will cease selling and distributing on 31st December 2017 and both Simson & Jasnor will assume effective control of all Carte Blanche brands from 1st January 2018. The Carte Blanche Australia Office in Botany will be run by Carte Blanche Australia Chief Financial Officer, David Henderson, and remain open for a period after January 1st 2018 to complete the winding up of all commercial activities.
