We understand that when you send a card (an ecard or a physical card!) to a loved one it needs to be special, funny, touching, emotional – it needs to communicate the way you feel about that person. When we were creating NoPostie we wanted to offer the same great experience, so we created amazing animations that will light up somebody’s day. We think that the animations available on NoPostie are some of the best animated content available anywhere on the web!
We couldn’t have created these unique animated ecards without the help of Scary Cat Studios, who have done a wonderful job of bringing Tatty Teddy, Violent Veg and our other brands to life. We asked Gary Jackson from Scary Cat about the process of creating these great animations.
Could you explain the process of creating one of the animations for NoPostie? How do you make the characters come to life?
We use a very traditional, painstaking technique called stop frame animation. Stop frame animation is the technique where a puppet is manipulated one frame at a time in order to create the illusion of movement when the series of frames are played back as a continuous sequence. Depending on the complexity of the shot, we can create between 5 – 11 seconds of animation per day. In creating a 30 second piece there are a lot of other factors that can take up a lot of time as well; such as set changes and changes to the camera and lighting set ups.11th September 2009

One of the great features of NoPostie.com is the NoPostie calendar which will make sure that you remember all of your birthdays, holidays, special occasions or just to say hello. The No Postie calendar will ensure you don’t forget someone’s special day or just reminds you not to miss that opportunity to let someone know that you care.
At NoPostie we have lots of unique, online greetings which can be personalised to suit any occasion. Whether your event is a wedding or birthday, an invitation to a party, or just simply telling someone how you feel, you can create an event in your NoPostie calendar. The NoPostie calendar will remind you about your event up to a week in advance so that you can be well prepared!

At Carte Blanche Greetings we’ve been creating exceptional greeting cards for years – we believe there’s something very special about wishing others well, celebrating an occasion or simply telling someone how you feel.
A greeting card is like a container for all the things you want to say to a special person – it’s important that the experience is high-quality... it needs to feel right. The combination of a physical card and a handwritten message is and always will be unique and special. Sending an online greeting is not a substitute for sending a physical card.
However times change. All of us acknowledge the web as a hugely powerful medium for communication and in fact we now spend more time on the web than we do watching television or talking on the telephone. There is no doubt we send more electronic messages than we do physical greeting cards.
